ARLINGTON, Texas - Arlington police have arrested a man for last week’s road rage murder of a woman.
Aspen Warren, 20, was taken into custody Tuesday night for the shooting death of 26-year-old Brittany Daniel.
Daniel was driving a co-worker home last Wednesday on Interstate 30. When they got near the Cooper Street exit, another car that had been aggressively weaving in and out of traffic drove up alongside them.
Words were exchanged and someone in the other car fired two shots. Daniel managed to pull over, but she died at a hospital.
Police said a tip led them to Warren’s arrest.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, the tipster knew the names of several people in the suspect’s car.
Detectives interviewed them. Each gave a detailed and consistent account of what happened and each named Warren as the gunman, the affidavit states.
His bond was set at $500,000.
