Man arrested after police chase into Dallas

A man is in custody after leading police on a chase through Arlington, Grand Prairie and into Dallas late Sunday night.

The man was initially pulled over around 11:30 p.m. by Dalworthington Gardens police, but he drove off as an officer approached his truck.

The Dallas Sheriff’s Department joined in the chase on Interstate 20. The man was driving at a slow speed, but refused to stop.

Deputies eventually disabled truck with road spikes and he stopped on Racine Drive, just north of Camp Wisdom Road.

It’s not yet clear why he was trying to run from police. He will now face felony evading arrest charges.
