Man accused of sexually assaulting two women, cops believe there are more victims

A 23-year-old man is accused of groping, lurking and taking unwanted photos of women several times.

Treshawn Robinson, 23, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault after he allegedly groped someone at a grocery store and sexually assaulted a woman at a swimming pool. Police believe there could be more victims.

Police arrested Robinson after someone saw him hiding in the bushes at a community swimming pool and recording two young girls. That arrest prompted investigators to research similar cases in which Robinson matched the description of the suspects.

“Based on some information that we had had from previous reports, he matched the description on some other incidents that took place,” said David Tilley, Plano PD. “So that's when they began their investigation and were able to determine that he was the one responsible for two sex assault offenses that we were currently investigating.”

Arrest records say on May 21, one victim was with her mother at Tom Thumb on Independence Parkway when the victim reported a man forcefully grabbed her in her private areas and she hit him. Then on June 9, another victim reported she was at the pool at the Somerset at Spring Creek Apartments on W. Spring Creek Parkway.

A witness described the suspect lurking in the bushes, and the victim says he placed his phone between her legs and filmed or photographed her crotch area.

"She yelled and tried to get the phone away from the suspect and during the struggle he forcefully grabbed her crotch area,” records state.

“For him to do what he did on both of these situations in areas where there are people around, you don't know what this guy's going to be capable of doing so I consider him a very dangerous person,” Tilley said.

Police say Robinson was also known to take photos of women without them knowing at the Burlington Coat Factory in Plano, according to employees there.

According to the affidavit he told investigators, “Y'all got me, my problem… I like taking pictures sometimes.”

Robinson has had run-ins with the law before, with prior arrests from Farmers Branch and DART police for evading arrest and criminal trespass.

Police ask anyone who recognizes Robinson or believes he may have committed an offense against them to contact investigators immediately.

Robinson remains behind bars with bond set at $50,000.
