The county has had more than its fair share of severe weather lately, with the Rio Vista tornados in late April and the flash flooding earlier this week.
The county had made a lot of progress after the April storms repairing storm damaged roads, but that was wiped out by Sunday's flooding.
Emergency management brought in help in case there's more trouble: several big trucks from the Army National Guard.
The county knows that Alvarado, Lilian and Venus are among the communities at risk for more flash floods.
It's having the Guard members drive around those areas so they'll be familiar with the roads and neighborhoods in case they flood.
