Japan Airlines flights return to DFW Airport

Japan Airlines has started nonstop service between Tokyo and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, resuming a route that had been discontinued in 2001.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport says the airline started the service to Tokyo Narita Airport on Monday.

The airline is starting the service with four flights per week -- on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday -- with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline plans to increase to daily service on March 20.

With its return to DFW, Japan Airlines becomes the 14th international carrier to serve Dallas-Fort Worth from DFW's International Terminal D.
