Injured Scurry-Rosser football coach going home

Two months after being injured, a high school football coach is recovering at home.

Mark Bachtel, an assistant at Scurry-Rosser High School in Kaufman County, was hurt during a sideline collision. He hit his head on the concrete and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Bachtel’s family said he still suffers from some hearing problems and is blind in one eye because of the accident.

He’ll continue his recovery with outpatient rehab.
