Home Depot employee Scott Painter out of the hospital

DALLAS - The Home Depot employee injured in a shooting last month is reportedly out of the hospital.

Scott Painter was shot along with two Dallas police officers as they arrested an accused shoplifter.

Dallas Officer Rogelio Santander was killed. His partner, Officer Crystal Almeida, is still recovering.

Accused shooter Armando Juarez is charged with capital murder.

FOX 4 has reached out to Painter’s family for an update on his injuries and recovery. They declined an interview and asked for privacy.
