Halloween candy donated to Fort Worth first responders

Fort Worth children delivered a sweet thank you to first responders Thursday morning.

The kids donated boxes filled with candy from their own trick-or-treating to the Fort Worth Fire Department.

The Halloween candy give-back project is organized by a group called Operation Gratitude. Nationally, hundreds of tons of candy will be distributed this holiday season to deployed troops, veterans and first responders.

The groups mission is to teach kids the importance of service and giving back.
