Grand Prairie woman indicted on voter fraud charges

A Tarrant County Grand Jury has indicted a Grand Prairie woman on felony voter fraud charges.

Prosecutors said Rosa Maria Ortega lied about being a U.S. citizen and registered to vote in Dallas County.

Officials said she voted in multiple elections there since 2004, including the 2014 Republican primary.

Ortega also tried twice to register in Tarrant County, but was rejected by officials there.

If convicted, Ortega could face up to twenty years in prison.
