High-five a cat to help support animal shelters on National High-Five Day

Want to save a cat’s life? You can. All you have to do? Give your cat a high five.

Cat Pawsitive, a program from celebrity cat trainer Jackson Galaxy, is designed to save feline lives by training cats to be more sociable. They’re giving away thousands of dollars in cash grants and ten thousand bowls of organic pet food to animal shelters on April 19th for National High Five Day.

The animal shelters with the best videos of them high fiving cats will win the prize. Individuals entering the contest can tag an animal shelter of choice to benefit if they win.

What if your cat doesn’t know how to do a high five? Don’t worry, Galaxy has posted free instructions on how to teach your cat how to high five on the Cat Pawsitive website.

To submit your photo, just post it to social media with the hashtag #CatPawsitive and tag @theJacksonGalaxyProject and @HaloPets.
