FOX 4Ward: Movies in Texas

There's a big push to bring more productions to Texas. When film production crews go on location to places like Dallas, Fort Worth or anywhere else, they spend a lot of money. It's great for all kinds of local businesses and it also means jobs for local workers with production skills.

So in the upcoming legislative session, state lawmakers will be asked to allocate $100 million to the Texas Moving Image Incentive Program. FOX 4's Dan Godwin talks to John Schrimp, the head of the Texas Motion PIcture Alliance. He talks about how the money could be used to make Texas a more attractive place for movie and TV crews to shoot their projects.
