Fort Worth boil order lifted, water considered safe to drink

There’s good news for people in far north Fort Worth, the boil order has been lifted.

Earlier this week a city worker accidentally drained a water tower, dropping the pressure and potentially allowing contamination.

For more than 24 hours residents were forced to either boil their water or pickup bottled water.

The water department said all tests on the water came back negative Friday morning. The water is considered safe to drink.
