Fatal crash closes Hwy. 121 ramp in Grapevine

GRAPEVINE, Texas - A highway ramp in Grapevine was closed Tuesday morning because of a deadly 18-wheeler crash.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. on the ramp from northbound Highway 121 to eastbound Interstate 635.

Officials said the driver lost control of his truck. It overturned and hit a guardrail. The driver was pinned inside and died.

Traffic in the area was diverted for several hours because of the accident investigation and cleanup. The ramp reopened just after 7 a.m.
