Fair Park celebrates 80 years with free festival

DALLAS - Fair Park in Dallas turns 80 years old this week. It's a reason to look back and a reason to celebrate.

North Texans can join in the celebration with a free four-day summertime fun festival that runs from Thursday until Sunday.

The free festival opens up the park’s museums and exhibits. There will also be a concert performance by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, jazz from local musicians, games on the Midway, kids’ activities, fireworks and free Ferris wheel and tower rides.

Plus, there will be food and drinks for sale including Fletcher’s Original State Fair corny dogs.
