Early morning storms knock out power in DFW

- Monday morning’s storms knocked out power to about 4,000 homes and businesses in North Texas.

As of 7:30 a.m., Oncor reported about 3,200 customers in Tarrant County and 1,100 in Dallas County without power.

Firefighters were called to help after a power line fell across Jasper Street, which is in a neighborhood near Interstate 35W and Meacham Boulevard in north Fort Worth.

Crews are still working to restore power there and in many other areas across the metroplex. Lighting delayed their efforts in many areas.
