A drone was sighted near a Southwest Airlines plane in the air near Dallas Love Field on Friday.
The Federal Aviation Administration said Southwest Flight No. 28 was approaching Love Field from Houston about 2 p.m. when a quad-copter drone was seen "a few hundred feet off the left wing" of the 737.
The plane was able to land without any issue.
Officials said a controller in the Love Field air traffic control tower saw the drone from his position in the tower.
The FAA called in Dallas police to help search for the drone and the person piloting the device, but nothing was found.
This was the second incident in recent months involving drones near planes at Love Field. A Virgin America pilot spotted a drone by his plane on April 28. That device and its pilot was not found by authorities.
