GARLAND, Texas - Police found a man with gunshot wounds along a highway in Garland Monday night.
He was in his car near the LBJ Freeway and Centerville Road around 8:45 p.m. About 15 minutes earlier someone had called 911 to report hearing gunfire near Interstate 30 and Broadway Boulevard, which is about a mile away.
The unnamed man was taken to the hospital for surgery. Police expect him to survive and hope to question him about the shooting once he is stable.
Police want to talk to the man before release details about a possible motive or suspect.
Late Monday night I-30 just east of Broadway Boulevard was closed so that forensic investigators could search for possible evidence of the shooting.
