Donors help Dallas students see "Selma" for free

Starting Saturday night, Dallas ISD seventh, eighth and ninth grade students can see the Academy Award-nominated movie "Selma" for free.

Thanks to local donors, about 10,000 Dallas ISD students are expected to see the movie.

The Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning film chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s fight for civil rights.

Theaters accepting Dallas ISD students' tickets include Angelika Film Center, AMC NorthPark 15, Cinemark 17 (Webb Chapel) and Studio Movie Grill Northwest Highway

The offer applies to students through MLK Day.

A student I.D. will get eligible students in.
