DART extends Blue Line to UNT Dallas on Monday

Dallas Area Rapid Transit is extending one of its rail lines.

The Blue Line used to end at the Ledbetter Station. DART added three more miles of tracks going south with stops near Camp Wisdom Road and on the UNT Dallas campus.

DART is still testing out the trains at the new stations. They are expected to open to the public with a celebration on Monday.

The Blue Line extension should give a boost to education and commercial growth in southern Dallas. The additions will also make it easier for people to get to Paul Quinn College and Cedar Valley College.

They also mean DART now has a total of 93 miles of rail line and 64 stations.
