Dallas woman killed in early morning house fire

- A woman is dead and her husband was hurt trying to save her after a house fire in west Dallas

The single-story, wood-framed house on Dennison Street erupted in flames around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.

There were three people inside at the time and two were able to escape.

When the husband noticed his wife was still inside, he broke a window trying to help her. He was taken to the hospital after he cut his hand on the glass.

The woman was not able to escape and her body was later found inside the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
