Dallas sees round three of Trump protests

For the third night in a row, protestors hit the streets of Dallas and Fort Worth to protest Donald Trump’s latest election victory.

Both of the Friday night protests were organized by Next Generation Action Network, the same group that organized Wednesday night’s protest.

“When human rights, social justice, and common decency is put on the back burner for bigotry and hate as we have witnessed as citizens of the United States of America we have no other choice but to rebel,” a press release from the group said. “This is NOT a protest. It is a rallying cry to resist ANY force that threatens our unity and our progression into a more unified, dignified, and economically stable society."

The protests began around 7 p.m and marched through the cities. About 400-500 people gathered at Main Street Garden for the Dallas rally while about 85 people attended the one in Fort Worth.

Both groups of protestors were met by a small group of counter-protestors. Patrick Connery came out for the second night in a row in Dallas. This time around, he was joined by a couple of other Trump supporters. He said he'll come back to the rallies as long as protestors do too.

Officers attended both rallies to keep the crowds from wandering into the streets and impeding traffic. No arrests were made.
