Investigation after threat made against Dallas middle school

DALLAS - Police are investigating another threat against a public school in Dallas.

Some parents whose children attend Brown Middle School, which is located in the Red Bird area of Dallas, picked up their kids on Tuesday.

The threat that was first posted on Instagram includes a photo of a male holding a weapon. In the caption says “everybody at t.w Browne gone die” and that he plans to target “stupid ass eight graders.”

Parents complained that no one sent out an alert warning them about the threat. Administrators told them several students were being questioned, but that it did not rise to the level of a mass alert or lockdown.

“They won't let the children leave, they say they are safer here” said parent Tamara Gibbs.

The photo was shared across social media Tuesday, but it is not clear when it was first posted.

It is just one of many recent threats against school in North Texas. Some have already resulted in arrests.
