Dallas police seek suspects from March 2018 murder

Dallas police are putting out a call for help in a three-month-old murder.

Jeremy Ellison was gunned down just outside of his apartment in Oak Cliff in early March and police are making a special plea for the public’s help.

Police have video of the suspects and the truck that they made their escape in, but it’s not very good. But police say somebody knows what happened about 6:30 a.m. on March 5 at the complex at 3410 Fordham Road. They’re asking that person to come forward.

On Friday, Pastor Donald Ellison made another trip from Fort Worth to the Oak Cliff apartment complex where his son was murdered. He says his son was living in the apartment complex, trying to save money to get back into his trucking job. But he never got the chance -- he was shot to death.

Witnesses told police that there were three or four black men and the shooter had dreadlocks. After the suspects shot him, they ran into a nearby apartment. Soon a blue, mid-90s F150 drove out of the complex, carrying Ellison’s killers.

Daniel Ellison is done waiting. He wants to know who killed his son. He wants closure.

“There ought to be some justice,” he says. “Somebody ought to come forward and tell the story.”

Anybody with information on the murder should contact Detective Jesse Loeb at (214) 373-8477.
