Two women were carjacked Thursday night by a group of people wearing masks in northeast Dallas.

Police managed to arrest two suspects wanted for the violent carjackings, but officers are still looking for three men involved.

Dallas police officers managed to track down one of the cars early Friday morning with three of the suspects inside.

One person got away, but two of the suspects were taken into custody.

The other car and other two suspects have not yet been located.

The violent carjacking happened around 10:45 p.m., as two friends were returning home to the 12100 block of Sunland St. in the Lochwood neighborhood.

They said they saw five suspects wearing masks approach them with guns and knives. At least one of the suspects fired shots into the air and demanded their keys to steal their cars.

The women were not hurt but they described it as a terrifying situation. They thought they were going to die.

“We were talking for like five minutes and then these people showed up flashing their lights and I thought they were cops. I was like, who’s that? Get down. Are they cops? Did we do anything wrong? We didn’t do anything. And then they had… then we saw a lot of them carrying big guns. They had masks on, clown masks,’” one of the victims, Stacy Mata, told FOX 4.

The other victim, who did not want to be identified, described what happened next.

"Then it just happened so quick. They came next to us saying get of the car, and I was like, 'I'm not going to get out of my car,' then they started using the gun, hitting the window to open it. I was like this is real, I'll get out,” she said.

Mata said one suspect held a gun to her head and another put a knife at her stomach. They threatened to kill her if she tried anything.

“I thought I was going to die right there because all of them had guns to our heads and we’re like, ‘Okay.’ So they told us to get on the floor and we got on the floor. And we got on the floor and then they took our keys and they were like, ‘Thank you.’ And they just drove off,” she said.

"They were like, 'By the way, you're hot. You're fine.' It boiled my blood," the other victim said.

One of the stolen cars had On Star, which police were able to use to track it. It led them to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Robert B. Cullum Blvd.

The officers waited outside. Then, just before 2 a.m. Friday, three suspects came out and got into one of the cars. When they spotted the police, they tried to get away by ramming into a police SUV.

One suspect managed to run away, but officers were able to capture one male and one female suspect. Police say both are juveniles.

They are now facing aggravated robbery charges and the suspect who rammed the police SUV will likely face charges for aggravated assault on a public servant.

Police are still looking for the other three suspects. They’re also checking the parking lot to make sure there are no other stolen cars.

"I'm so glad we are alive, and they didn't hurt us," Mata added.

Mata said she wanted to speak out to warn people about being out in the dark. She also said police told her there have been other similar robberies in her area.
