Crews extinguish Fort Worth junkyard fire

FORT WORTH - Fire crews worked quickly to put out a large fire at a junkyard near Fort Worth Tuesday afternoon.

The fire happened at a junkyard in the 2100 block of Jacksboro Highway and was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m.

Heavy smoke from the fire could be seen for miles from the location.

Fire crews have the fire under control and are investigating the cause.

There were no reports of injuries.
