School board members in McKinney got an update Tuesday on the cracks in the new high school football stadium that is still under construction.

Experts said they are not an immediate safety hazard but could impact the stadium’s lifespan.

Trustees are waiting for the results of two other studies by structural consultants.

Any repair costs will be covered by the companies building the $70 million stadium.

Unless something changes, it is still supposed to open in time for the high school football season in August.
