Cops stop thieves from getting away with ATM

Dallas police are searching for the people who stole an ATM from a store in Pleasant Grove.

When patrol officers arrived at the store near Seagoville Road and Augustine Drive around 1 a.m. they spotted a blue Ford SUV leaving.

Two men bailed out and ran into a wooded area.

Officers search on foot, with dogs and even by helicopter, but could not find the suspects.

The stolen ATM was in the back of the SUV.

There were two other ATM smash and grab thefts in Dallas Wednesday.

In both cases a green pickup truck smashed into a business and two men dressed in black went for the cash.

They took the machine in under a minute at a gas station in north Oak Cliff, but left empty handed from a North Dallas nail salon, where the ATM was bolted down.

No arrests were made.
