Cool and breezy today, cold and windy tomorrow

The cold front pushes through the area quickly this morning, taking temps from the 60s to the 40s in a flash. As the day rolls on, we'll lose a bit of the cloud cover, allowing us to warm back up to the upper 50s in many spots. Rain stays mainly east this morning with the cold front and is out of North Texas just in time for lunch.

Tonight, clouds increase yet again and temps fall back into the upper 30s.

Sunday brings late morning and afternoon rain showers, but as the day rolls on, temps will fall from 40s into the 30s and eventually below freezing Sunday evening. Winds will howl and bring wind chills into the 20s. Sunday evening into Monday morning brings the change from liquid to ice, sleet, and snow. This poses a problem for Monday morning commuters, especially in the DFW area where traffic is the heaviest.

At this point we're also expecting the possibility for school closings, and Good Day will start a half hour early to keep everyone informed as conditions quickly deteriorate.
