Do you have an old car seat that your child had outgrown or that has reached its expiration date? Target on Tuesday announced the return of its car seat trade-in promotion.
The promotion runs from April 22 through May 4 at most stores across the country. To search for a store near you, click here.
Parents can drop off any car seat at a designated drop-off box near guest services to receive a 20% off coupon.
Target will accept infant seats, convertible seats, seat bases, harnesses and booster seats, even if they are expired or damaged. The store will send them to Waste Management for recycling.
The discount coupons can be used toward select baby gear such as a new car seat, travel system, stroller, play yard, high chair, swing, rocker or bouncer. They can be used in stores or online through May 11.
Target said it has recycled more than half a million old and expired car seats since the trade-in program began in 2016.
