Constable shoots gunman outside Dallas bar

An off-duty Dallas constable shot a man who fired his gun outside a far north Dallas bar.

The constable was working security when a fight broke out outside The Draft House near Rosemeade Parkway and the President George Bush Turnpike.

A man reportedly got out of a car with a gun and opened fire. The constable shot back, hitting the man.

He was taken to a Plano hospital in serious condition.

Several people involved in the fight were taken into custody.

The windows of a nearby pizza shot were blown out by the gunfire.
