Cars torched in Pleasant Grove parking lot

Several people in Pleasant Grove woke up to find their cars were set on fire overnight.

It happened between 2 and 4 a.m. outside the Solana Ridge Apartments off Chariot Drive and Buckner Boulevard.

At least three cars were charred beyond recognition and two others were damaged.

The fires were scattered throughout the complex. In some cases the arsonists targeted gas tanks and in others windows were shattered and seats were set on fire.

Many of the owners were upset and in disbelief. Some of them have no other means of transportation.

"I'm sad. I'm hurt. I mean, I worked hard for this car," one woman said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue is investigating the case.
