Police looking for suspect who fired shot at undercover officers

- Two people are in custody and police are searching for a third after a shot was fired at an undercover Dallas police car.

Dallas police said it happened around 4 a.m. near Webb Chapel Road and Park Lane in northwest Dallas. Someone had called to report people breaking into cars in the area.

Undercover officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle and began following it. That’s when police said the shot was fired.

The officers chased the suspect’s vehicle to Walnut Hill Lane and Stemmons Freeway, where three people bailed out and ran. Two were caught and the third person got away.

Police said they found two guns in the suspect’s vehicle.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
