Biker left friend behind after racing crash, witnesses say

A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in northwest Dallas.

It happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday on the Northwest Highway rant to Stemmons Freeway.

A witness said he was stopped at a traffic light and saw two motorcyclists racing. One biker lost control and ended up sliding underneath his car.

The other biker checked on the injured man, moved his damaged bike into a parking lot and then drove off.

“That’s sad. That’s heartless. How could you leave your friend, man you know what I’m saying? If you’re on the scene of an accident, you can’t leave and leave your partner,” said Londell Hayden, the witness.

The injured man was taken to Parkland Hospital. His name has not yet been released.

Police want to question the other motorcyclist.
