Bernie Sanders to hold campaign rally at Fort Worth's Burnett Park on April 25

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a campaign rally in Fort Worth next week.

Sanders’ campaign announced on Friday that the rally will take place on Thursday, April 25 at Burnett Park. The event is set to start at noon and is free and open to the public.

Sanders will be making his first swing through Texas next week since announcing his 2020 presidential bid. He will be in Houston on Wednesday for a candidate forum at Texas Southern University and will also hold a rally in the city.

Sanders is the second 2020 contender to rally in Fort Worth this year. California U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris held an event in March.

Sanders is polling near the top of the crowded field of Democratic candidates, with most polls showing him in second place behind former Vice President Joe Biden.
