An arrest has been made in the strangulation death of a 22-year-old woman in her apartment near the TCU campus.

Fort Worth police said the suspect was Reginald Kimbro, 23, of Plano. Police said he and Molly Matheson knew each other, but weren't saying publicly how.

Kimbro was arrested Thursday in Dallas by members of a fugitive task force. Investigators say physical evidence and witness statements led them to Kimbro and the crime was not random.

Police said Kimbro has not been cooperating with officers and has not responded to any of their questions.

There were no signs of forced entry at the garage apartment where Matheson was found strangled earlier this month.

Matheson graduated from Timber Creek High School in far north Fort Worth. Friends said she was taking classes at Tarrant County College.

The family of Matheson said they were extremely happy about the arrest, but they did not want to talk on camera.

Kimbro is charged with murder and bond is set at $500,000.
