Airports bustling with pre-Thanksgiving travelers

North Texas’ airports are preparing for a busy day as travelers travel for Thanksgiving.

Lines were already pretty long at Love Field even before sunrise. Officials are recommending that travelers arrive at least two hours early to park, check bags and go through security.

For those who are planning to bring food on board should remember that while you can carry things like turkey and pies, liquids like cranberry sauce or gravy are not allowed.

More than 2 million people are expected to travel through DFW Airport over the holiday. The airport offered free parking to the first 1,000 cars that arrived after 6 a.m.

According to AAA, more than 48 million people across the country will travel by air or car for Thanksgiving this year. That’s about 2 percent more than last year.
