Advisory issued for some Blue Bell products linked to listeria

The FDA has issued a consumer advisory for several Blue Bell ice cream products that have been linked to confirmed cases of Listeriosis in Kansas.

The following products are part of the advisory:

  • Almond Bar
  • Chocolate Chip Country Cookie
  • Cotton Candy Bar
  • Great Divide Bar
  • No Sugar Added Mooo Bar (regular Mooo Bars are not included)
  • Scoops
  • Sour Pop Green Apple Bar
  • Vanilla Stick Slices
Country Cookie, Great Divide and Scoops all tested positive for listeria. The other ice cream products are included in the advisory because they were made on the same production line at Blue Bell's Brenham, TX headquarters.

Blue Bell cups, pints and half gallons aren't included in the advisory.

Anyone with any of the affected products is advised to throw them away. Blue Bell has stopped production of the above products and taken them out of stores.
