Crews remove big rig from I-45 overpass after facing setbacks

After being met with delays, crews finally removed big rig hanging from I-45 overpass in Dallas on Tuesday.

The 18-wheeler crashed on I-45 northbound at Simpson Stuart Road on Monday. No one was seriously hurt.

Police said Tuesday that the original crane used to remove the big rig wasn't strong enough to pull it away.

A stronger crane was then ordered to help, but first, a TxDOT engineer had to determine whether or not the bridge could hold that crane.

Additionally, ONCOR officials were called to assist because live electrical wires were exposed from the impact of the crash.
