Former President Bill Clinton arrived to a rock star’s welcome tonight at Paul Quinn College in Dallas.
He spoke to an overflow crowd as he rallied support for his wife’s campaign for president.
Without naming him, former president Clinton took shots at Republican Donald Trump and his plan to build a giant wall between Mexico and the United States.
“Hillary said I want to build ladders of opportunity and tear down barriers so we can all be whole again,” said Bill Clinton.
Before Hillary Clinton gets a shot at a Republican nominee, she still has to get by the surprisingly strong challenge by fellow Democrat, Senator Bernie Sanders.
Hillary Clinton has a double digit lead in pre-election polling, largely because she has greater appeal among African American voters.
That made the historically black Paul Quinn College fertile ground for the Clinton campaign and her husband’s legendary skills in retail campaigning.
