911 operator helps 8-year-old Arlington girl save choking brother

An 8-year-old Arlington girl may have saved the life of her brother, with help from a 911 operator.

The girl, Lauren, called 911 after her 10-year-old brother started choking. Dispatcher Reagen Jordan kept calm as she talked Lauren through the Heimlich maneuver.

"For another child to take that kind instruction and let me know that not only was this call taker trained, she was able to follow protocol properly to give instructions to a child to save another child's life...," said Arlington 911 supervisor Alex Grovenburg.

Jordan will be honored by the Arlington Fire Department and Tarrant County.
