FORT WORTH, Texas - The Fort Worth Independent School District is planning a round of playoffs in an effort to cut costs.
Superintendent Kent Scribner announced that he will cut central office positions.
Some of the positions are currently filled by employees expected to retire. Other central office administrators will be distributed to support campuses.
Scribner said the new plan will focus on student achievement and streamline resources to schools. He claims it could save the district more than $1 million.
