Ft. Worth theater employee on paid leave following charges

The artistic director of a Fort Worth theater accused of offering boys money for sexual favors has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Declois Garrett Beacham, 33, was arrested last week and charged with two counts of compelling prostitution of a child.

Three boys identified Beacham in a photo lineup as the man who offered them $100 in January.

A spokesperson for the Jubilee Theatre, where Beacham has worked for the past five years, said in a statement Monday that the theatre has launched its own internal investigation and that Beacham never showed any indication of such behavior.

Beacham also goes by the name Tre Garrett.
