- After a car thief stole his truck, Army veteran James Huff posted a message in his front yard publicly shaming the crook. Written on a 4 x 8 piece of plywood the sign calls the thief "a worthless dirt bag."

Huff, a 20-year veteran who says he did three tours overseas, says he put up the sign to warn neighbors about the theft of his 2002 Ford, and as a sharp message to the person who stole it.

"If they get caught their freedoms are gone, freedoms that I fight to give them. To provide, to protect," he said.

Huff's truck is white with a hydraulic lift and Army stickers in the back window. It has the Texas plate GBL-2166.

Rowlett police say they're investigating the theft but have no leads so far.
