Hometown Hero: Empty Bowls Fundraiser

All year long, 500 artists have been making beautiful and creative clay bowls for the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

The 13th annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser will be held Friday, Feb. 20 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall.

A $50 ticket gets you in for general admission and gives you a beautiful empty bowl.

There will also be bowls made of clay, glass, brass and more, and the money for those bowls also benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

There will also be amazing food -- the best deal in town.

Thirteen counties are served by TAFB, from the Red River to Waco and Mineral Wells.

One dollar turns into five meals.

The goal is to raise $300,000, which would bring 1.5 million meals to hungry women, children, men, seniors and military families in North Texas.

To get ticket information, call 817-332-9177, ext. 137, or log on to www.tafb.org
