Property managers in Downtown Dallas are making an effort to improve security after a woman was beaten and robbed in her Davis Building parking garage, Thursday night on Main Street.
Special education teacher Sarah Hoff says she had been sitting in her car for about 20 minutes to finish a phone conversation, when two men opened her front doors and punched her at least four times. The men grabbed her purse and cell phone, and stole her car.
They still haven't been caught.
A man who also lives in the building asked us not to use his name but says his girlfriend has been followed by strange men in that same garage. He also says his car has been broken into three times, but his calls and emails to management have gone unanswered.
Property managers have declined to comment on the incident, but residents say lighting in the garage has vastly improved since the Thursday night attack.
The building's manager did tell Fox4 they plan to ask residents to attend a downtown safety meeting next week. It will happen Monday night at 6 P.M. at The Woolworth Restaurant and Bar.
