Teenager dies in crash in North Richland Hills

Students showed up at Richland High School on their day off to mourn the loss of a classmate.

Fifteen-year-old Kendall Clark was killed in a crash Saturday night on Rufe Snow Drive.

Police said she was a passenger in her mother's vehicle. Her mother made a left turn and the vehicle was broadsided.

Kendall was a sophomore and a member of the JV soccer team.

Her head coach consoled her teammates on Monday. The school opened up the gym to allow students to grieve and speak with counselors even though it was a holiday.

On Tuesday, classmates plan to release balloons in Kendall's honor on the soccer field. Friends will remember her as someone who always brightened their day.

"She's super funny. She always made me laugh. Every day I would look forward to going to the class we had together," said Madison Woffard, a friend.

"There's not one person who does not like Kendall at our school. She's just like so enthusiastic, just out there," added Jourdan Duke, another friend.

Kendall's mother was also seriously hurt in the crash. Her condition has since been upgraded to fair.

The driver and the passenger in the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash but do not believe alcohol was involved.
