Drainage work to close parts of 635 on weekends

At some point within the next month, a portion of all lanes on both sides of 635 will be closed for drainage work.

It's all part of an effort to rebuild one of the busiest and most congested highways in North Texas.

Drivers should seek alternate routes during the following periods:

PHASE 1: Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. through Jan. 19 at 6 a.m.

All lanes of eastbound IH-635 between Webb Chapel and Marsh will be closed. All traffic will be detoured to the frontage road, and will use the Webb Chapel on-ramp to re-enter the main lanes.

PHASE 2: Jan. 23 at 9 p.m. through Jan. 26 at 6 a.m.

Full closure of the westbound frontage road between Marsh and Webb Chapel. Traffic will be detoured north on Marsh and left on Valley View Lane to avoid the closure. The westbound exit to Webb Chapel, and the westbound on-ramp from Marsh will also be closed.

PHASE 3: Jan. 30 at 9 p.m. through Feb. 2 at 6 a.m.

All lanes of westbound IH-635 between Marsh and Webb Chapel will be closed. All traffic will be detoured to the Webb Chapel exit and may re-enter the main lanes via the entrance ramp between Marsh and Webb Chapel (the Marsh on-ramp).
