FORT WORTH, Texas - The Fort Worth Symphony musicians and management have agreed to return to the table to discuss the strike that’s been going on for the past six weeks.
Management has also agreed to postpone any possible further cancellations of concerts until after Saturday’s meeting.
The musicians argued cancelling concerts months ahead is damaging to the organization and punishes the community.
"We hope management comes back to the table with sincere intentions of working toward a resolution that includes a real plan for growth," said Musicians Union President Stewart Williams. “Fort Worth wants its orchestra back."
Also Saturday, the musicians will hold a rally for growth at the Water Gardens in Downtown. The rally will feature brass players from both the Fort Worth and Dallas symphony orchestras.
