2 hurt in 2nd shooting at South Dallas convenience store

Two men were wounded in what may have been an exchange of gunfire between gang members outside a South Dallas convenience store.

Police said the men were involved in an argument outside the store, which is located in the 2300 block of 2nd Street just two blocks south of Fair Park.

One of the men is reportedly in critical condition and may not survive. The other is expected to recover.

The Dallas Police Department’s gang unit is investigating the possibility that the shooting involved gang members.

This is the second shooting in less than a week near the same store. On Thursday a 7-year-old girl was shot when two men in an SUV opened fire on the store. She is now recovering.

Police don’t yet know if the two incidents are related.
