Police in the Tarrant County town of Crowley arrested a 17-year-old boy on two counts of murder.

Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Buffalo Court around 5 p.m. Tuesday for a welfare check on a couple who lived at the home with their teenage son but did not find anything.

The officers returned to the home around midnight and found two bodies. A SWAT team was called in for a standoff.

The standoff lasted throughout the night. Video from FOX 4 shows several windows that were busted out possibly so officers could deploy tear gas.

Police have not elaborated on what happened between the time they discovered the bodies. 17-year-old Carl Edward Brewer was arrested after a standoff ended around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Neighbor Johnny Griffin says his family was evacuated around midnight and weren't allowed back home until in the morning.

“SWAT and everybody. I mean, I’ve got twin girls and they said, ‘We need y’all to get out of here.’ And I grabbed my girls, and I came downstairs,” Griffin recalled. “And here are these SWAT policemen with all the rifles and stuff on their shoulder, armored car out there in front.”

Brewer was arraigned Wednesday afternoon, and his bond was set at $100,000 for each charge for a total bond of $200,000.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending the notification of family.

Griffin says he has seen police come to the house before. Crowley police say they don't have details on any calls they may have made at the home in the past.

Police have not yet commented on the relationship between Brewer and the victims. They also haven’t released details about a motive. More information will be released at a press conference on Thursday at 10 a.m.
